WATERCOLOR WORKSHOP

Beginning Watercolor Class

Discover how to create beautiful artwork from start to finish, enhance your creative thinking, and train your brain to see the world through the eyes of an artist. Participants will learn the fundamental elements of  composition and principals of watercolor painting, and practice basic techniques and methods. The cost includes enough paint, paper, and brushes to complete the three classes and beyond.

FLY TYING

Cost if you purchase a starter kit: $75                                               

Do you like to fly fish but are not sure how to tie your own flies? Are you learning to fly fish and would like to start fly tying? Bart Jernigan will teach participants how to tie several different flies, explain the  differences in flies, and teach you what flies to use where. *Must bring own supplies or purchase starter kit.

SAFE SITTER ®

Is your teen starting to stay home alone or beginning to babysit? Then it’s time for a Safe-Sitter® class. This class will empower teens with wisdom in how to deal with situations while on their own. Taught by a skilled nurse, this small class will learn sensible decision making skills, safety skills and much more. This class is for 11-14 year olds.

Starting a Business

Dates: August 27, September 3, 10, & 17

Time: 6-8 pm

Small businesses are the backbone of any economy whether national or local. They are responsible for, on average, two-thirds of the net jobs created in any given year while also serving as a significant force driving innovation in the American economy. When small businesses thrive, the economy thrives and people thrive.

This course is designed for those who want to start a small business. It covers the essentials from the original idea to assessing the competition, funding, marketing and pricing, and sales. The focus is on ways to avoid the pitfalls of startups and how to better take advantage of a now booming American economy from southwest Wyoming.

      Scott W. Clark graduated with a degree in law in the 1980s. He practiced law for a time and found himself gravitating more to the business side of things. He served as   general counsel to two companies in the U.S. and has taught business and critical thinking courses in graduate schools here in the U.S. and in Eastern Europe. He also was a consultant in Ukraine where he specialized in business start-ups.

American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid & CPR

American Heart Association First Aid is dedicated to helping reduce the number of deaths due to emergency events. With the basic first aid and CPR classes students will learn they can make a difference in the lives of others. You might even save the life of someone you know. During the classes you will cover first aid and CPR basics; medical emergencies,  injury emergencies, and environmental emergencies. This class is designed for Adult First Aid and CPR.
